Consultancy Services - Design and Construction Supervision Engineering Services

Overview REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST The Government of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas (GOCB) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) towards the cost of the Bahamas Water Supply Improvement Project Phase 2 and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds to eligible payments under this contract. Payment by CDB will be made only at the request of the GOCB and upon approval by CDB, and will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the Loan Agreement. The Loan Agreement prohibits a withdrawal from the Loan Account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. No party other than GOCB shall derive any rights from the Loan Agreement or have any claim to the proceeds of the Loan. The Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) is the Executing Agency of this Project and now wishes to procure consultancy services for Design and Construction Supervision Engineering Services. The objective of the consultancy is conduct hydraulic analyses on the identified systems, prepare final designs and bidding documents for the identified works, assist the PMU in the bidding process for the procurement of contractors and contract management of the works, inclusive of contractor supervision and contract administration during the project implementation process and through the defects liability period. The consultant would also be responsible for post-construction reporting. Further details can be found in the attached Terms of Reference (TOR). The total duration of the consultancy service is therefore not expected to exceed 53 months. The Water and Sewerage Corporation now invites interested eligible consulting firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the provision of these consultancy services.
