Details
The Global Campus of Human Rights invites applications for the AI for Human Rights (AI4HR) Peer-Learning Programme. This initiative pairs youth-focused human rights organisations with NGOs experienced in AI usage to explore AI’s potential in advancing human rights. The programme runs from January to early July 2027. Applications close on 4 November 2026. The AI4HR Peer-Learning Programme aims to enhance the capacity of youth-focused human rights organisations by pairing them with NGOs that have expertise in AI. The programme is part of a broader five-year research initiative (2024-2029) to create an AI for Human Rights Toolkit. This toolkit will highlight AI’s potential benefits in human rights contexts such as workplaces, educational settings, and advocacy. Participants will receive guidance from AI experts, participate in online workshops, and attend a two-day workshop in Venice, Italy, with all related expenses covered. The programme enables organisations to tailor their learning experience to specific needs, such as documenting violations or enhancing advocacy efforts. The programme offers a unique chance for youth-focused organisations to harness AI’s potential in human rights advocacy. By fostering partnerships with AI-expert NGOs, participants can gain valuable insights and practical skills that enhance their operational effectiveness and impact. What is the programme duration? Who can apply? Youth-led or youth-focused human rights organisations are eligible, particularly those from Global Majority countries. What expenses are covered? The programme covers travel and accommodation costs for the workshop in Venice, Italy. Is prior AI experience required? No, organisations do not need prior AI experience to apply. What is the application deadline? Applications must be submitted by 4 November 2026. Interested organisations should review the official guidelines and complete the application form by the deadline. This opportunity is a valuable step for youth-focused organisations seeking to integrate AI into their human rights work. For more information, visit Global Campus of Human Rights.
