Details

Whitsunday Regional Council (Council) owns and operates the Bowen Landfill, located south of Bowen in North Queensland.

Council is developing additional waste disposal capacity at the Bowen Landfill to meet the region's long-term waste management requirements. The works involve the construction of a new engineered landfill cell incorporating a geosynthetic barrier system and leachate collection and conveyance infrastructure.

Council proposes to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Consultant to provide independent, third-party CQA services for the construction of Bowen Landfill Cell 2. The CQA Consultant must provide independent CQA monitoring, inspection, verification, documentation, testing review and recommendations to the Superintendent. The CQA Consultant is not responsible for directing the Contractors or ensuring Contractor compliance, which remains the responsibility of the relevant Contractor and the Superintendent under the construction contract.

Before you bid on this tender

A quick checklist to help you decide whether to bid and prepare a compliant submission for this water & environment opportunity. Always verify the details on the official source.

  • Confirm the exact closing date and time (and time zone) on the official portal — deadlines are strict and can be revised by a corrigendum.
  • Read the full notice and every attached document, including the scope, specifications and any bill of quantities or terms of reference.
  • Check the eligibility criteria — prior similar experience, annual turnover, certifications and registrations — and make sure you qualify before investing effort.
