Kommunen skal oppgradere og utvide sin beholdning av beholdere og utstyr for distribusjon av nødvann. Nødvann er vann med drikkevannskvalitet som leveres og distribueres utenom det ordinære ledningsnettet. Kommunen er forpliktet til å legge til rette for distribusjon av nødvann.Utstyret benyttes når det ordinære forsyningsnettet svikter, for eksempel ved naturhendelser som flom.
