Details

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Dalhousie University (“University”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the Automated Water Distribution and Treatment System for Small Animals as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). Carleton Animal Care Facility (CACF), which houses research animals at Dalhousie University, is seeking an automated watering system to supply and distribute drinking water to small rodents, including rats and mice. The system must deliver treated, recirculated water which meets or exceeds Canadian Councial on Animal Care (CCAC) regulations on drinking water. This system must reliably supply water uniformly to ventilated racks in multiple rooms within the animal care facility. The system must be compatible with current ventilated racks equipped with water distribution manifolds and ideally adaptable to future ventilated racks that are procured that meet CCAC requirements. • Read the full notice and every attached document, including the scope, specifications and any bill of quantities or terms of reference.
  • Check the eligibility criteria — prior similar experience, annual turnover, certifications and registrations — and make sure you qualify before investing effort.
