The programme is the flagship initiative of the PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation and uses a rigorous, values-driven approach to develop emerging African leaders. It focuses on integrity, respect, courage, selflessness, discipline, resilience, and the ability to remain clear and credible under pressure.
About the PK Amoabeng Leadership Scholar Program
The PK Amoabeng Leadership Scholar Program was established to help revolutionize the mindset of emerging African leaders through intensive leadership development. The programme is based on the belief that leadership is not simply a position or title but a lifestyle anchored in strong values and personal character.

The programme combines intensive experiences with leadership development to help participants build the mindset and character required for responsible leadership. What Does the Program Offer? The programme provides a one-year intensive leadership development experience designed to challenge participants and strengthen their leadership capabilities. A central element is the Military Leadership Camp, which exposes scholars to demanding leadership experiences and focuses on the fundamental qualities required to lead effectively. The programme aims to help participants understand leadership through action, discipline, responsibility, and service rather than relying solely on theoretical instruction. Military Leadership Camp The Military Leadership Camp is a core component of the PK Amoabeng Leadership Scholar Program. The intensive training module is designed to strip leadership back to its essentials and challenge participants to develop resilience and discipline. During the camp, participants are immersed in experiences that emphasize: - Maintaining composure under pressure. - Developing personal discipline. - Building resilience. - Taking responsibility for actions. - Earning credibility through action. - Leading with courage. - Remaining focused in challenging circumstances. The experience is intended to help participants understand how disciplined behaviour and personal character influence effective leadership. Leadership as a Lifestyle The programme is built around the idea that leadership extends beyond formal positions of authority. Participants are encouraged to view leadership as a way of conducting themselves in everyday life, particularly when facing difficult situations or pressure. The programme therefore places significant emphasis on values such as:

Who Can Apply? The PK Amoabeng Leadership Scholar Program is designed for young Ghanaian leaders.
Applicants must:
- Be Ghanaian nationals. - Be between 18 and 40 years old. - Demonstrate leadership potential. - Show a commitment to service. - Demonstrate moral force of character. - Have prior leadership experience, which is preferred. Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they have the potential and motivation to contribute positively to their communities and wider society. Leadership Experience Previous leadership experience is preferred but the programme is primarily focused on identifying individuals with strong leadership potential, commitment to service, and character. Applicants should therefore highlight experiences where they have taken responsibility, served others, led an initiative, solved a problem, or demonstrated leadership in their community, organisation, school, workplace, or other setting. What Is Moral Force of Character? Moral force of character is an important element of the programme’s selection criteria. Applicants should demonstrate qualities that reflect integrity, responsibility, courage, respect, discipline, and selflessness. Rather than focusing only on achievements or positions held, applicants should show how their actions reflect strong personal values and a commitment to serving others. Application Requirements Applicants are required to submit several documents and statements as part of the selection process.
