The “Empowered to Influence-3” Small Grants Competition is now open for applications, offering support to civil society organizations in Ukraine working towards democratic change. The deadline for submission is 19 November 2026, at 23:59 Kyiv time. The “Empowered to Influence-3” competition is part of the larger “Ukraine: Strengthening Democracy through Civil Society” project. It aims to bolster Ukrainian civil society organizations by enhancing their advocacy capabilities, organizational capacity, and ability to address human rights issues. This effort is crucial, especially in the context of ongoing conflict and challenges to democratic institutions. Grants are available in two categories (LOTs): Administrative costs can be up to 7% of the grant, and all budget calculations must be in Norwegian Krone.

Projects should align with one of the following themes: Priority is given to advocacy projects submitted in partnership with other organizations. This competition provides vital support for civil society initiatives that drive democratic reforms and protect vulnerable groups in Ukraine. Note: Only one application per organization is allowed.
