Who Is Eligible? Applicants must satisfy the programme’s general eligibility requirements as well as any country- or territory-specific conditions.

Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory. Where applicable, live in an Official Development Assistance (ODA)-eligible country and demonstrate an intention to contribute to the country of award. Commit to returning to the home country or country of award for at least two years after completing the scholarship. Have at least two years of work experience, equivalent to 2,800 hours, acquired after completing an undergraduate degree. Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies the applicant for admission to a master’s programme at a UK university. Have completed the undergraduate degree at least two years before the application deadline. Apply to three eligible UK university courses. Obtain an unconditional offer from at least one selected course by the applicable deadline. Work Experience Requirement Chevening applicants must demonstrate at least 2,800 hours of work experience gained after completing their undergraduate degree. Work experience is an important part of the selection process because Chevening is intended for people who can demonstrate professional development and leadership potential.
