The Creative City Inspiration Grant Program supports artists, creatives, performers, producers, and creative industries living, working, or studying in the City of Ballarat to develop new creative and cultural initiatives. Nine successful applicants will each receive $5,000 AUD excluding GST to create innovative projects across visual arts, music, theatre, film, photography, literature, design, public art, and other creative disciplines.

Eligible applicants must:

Hold a valid Australian Business Number (ABN), or Be an incorporated organisation, or Be auspiced by an incorporated organisation. Applicants using an auspice arrangement should ensure that the incorporated organisation is able to manage the grant in accordance with the funding requirements. Child Safety Requirements All applicants must comply with relevant child safety legislation and standards where applicable. Projects involving children or young people should demonstrate appropriate safeguarding practices and ensure that activities meet current legal and organisational child protection responsibilities. Compliance with child safety obligations is an important eligibility requirement for funded activities. Who Cannot Apply? The following applicants are not eligible: City of Ballarat staff. City of Ballarat Councillors. Members of delegated City of Ballarat committees. Live, work, or study within the City of Ballarat. Fall within eligible postcodes 3350–3358. Hold an ABN, are incorporated, or have an eligible incorporated auspice organisation. Are not excluded as City of Ballarat staff, Councillor, or delegated committee member.
