We forward herewith the Short -Term Tenders for: 1) SUPPLY , INSTALLATION, TESTING & COMMISSIONING OF DRY TYPE TRANSFORMER OF 500 KV A 11KV/433V ON DAILY RENTAL BASIS AT MAIN BRANCH, CHANDIGARH STATE BANK OF INDIA 2) REMOVING, TRANSPORTING, TESTING, REPORT SUBMISSION & REFIXING OF FAULTY DRY TYPE TRANSFORMER OF 500 KV A 11KV/433V INSTALLED AT MAIN BRANCH, CHANDIGARH STATE BANK OF INDIA 2. The Tenders/ Quotations should reach us on or before 01.30 P.M. on 15.09.2026 and will be opened on the same day at 02:30 P.M. in presence of those representatives of the firms who wish to participate in the opening of quotation. Also, the work order will be issued to L-1 bidder on the same day. 3. The Quotation should be sent in sealed envelope in the manner as explained below to the undersigned and marked “Tender for Dry type Transformer hiring on Daily Rental Basis and Transformer Testing Report for faulty Dry type Transformer” 4. Envelope-I Consisting of Covering letter, Terms and Conditions, EMD of Rs. 5,000/- in favour of SBI payable at Chandigarh 5. Envelope-II shall contain Price Bid only 6. Rental Payment of Transformer Hiring shall be Released after Completion / Execution of the Work or after the Completion of 15 Days / 30 Days of Hiring as per the discretion of the Branch. 3. Work is to be completed on priority within 7 days from award of work date otherwise a penalty @ 0.5% per Two days of the contract value will be applicable to the maximum of 5% of contract value. 4. Bank reserves the right to reject any or all Quotation without assigning any reason. 5. The scope of work can be reduced or increased as per bank’s requirement and the L-1 bidder must have to execute the work at the L-1 quoted rates for varied quantity. 6. The Quotation shall be submitted in the Double Envelopes as follows - • Envelope- 1 consisting of signed copy of Terms & Conditions and EMD of Rs. 5,000/- in favour of SBI payable at Chandigarh • Envelope-II consist of signed copy of the Rates quoted in the Price Bid. • Envelope -III Both envelopes should be super-scribed as Technical Bid and Price Bid Respectively and Enclosed in Envelope with Super Scribed as “Tender for Dry type Transformer hiring on Daily Rental Basis and Transformer Testing Report for faulty Dry type Transformer” 7. The work will be executed in the presence of Bank staff or staff assigned by the bank. 8. The Rates include cost of S.I.T.C of transformer on Rental Basis, Removing & Refixing existing Transformer, transportation charges, any other accessories, tools required to complete the work. No compromise will be done in quality of the work. 9. The Contractor shall continuously maintain adequate protection, of all his work from damage and shall protect the SBI’s properties from injury or loss arising in connection with contract. He shall make good any such damage, injury, loss due to his fault or negligence except which are due to causes beyond his control. He shall take adequate care and steps for protection of the adjacent properties. The contractor shall take all precautions for safety and protection of his employees on the works and shall comply with all applicable provisions of Government and local bodies’ safety laws and building codes to prevent accidents, or injuries to persons or property of about or adjacent to his place of work 10. Scope of work includes Disconnection of Existing H.T & L.T. side connections of the existing HT cable repair works as per the enclosed price bid & Final Testing & Commissioning by putting Transformer on Load. The successful bidder shall take necessary statutory and other permissions from appropriate Electricity authorities and Electrical Inspector which is required to commence the work and arrange the installation activity accordingly. 12. The contractors/bidders are advised to visit the site before quoting the rates. 13. The Rent quoted by the vendor shall be on Daily Rental Basis and the same will be payable on submission of GST bill 14. One Day notice prior to removal of Dry Type transformer will be provided to the vendor. 15. The Vendor shall Submit Transformer Testing Report from Government Approved A-Class Transformer Laboratory supported along with required Photographs and Detailed Report 16.
