NPDC is seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractors to deliver an intersection upgrade and associated civil works at the SH3 / Coronation Avenue intersection with Rogan Street. This project presents an opportunity to partner with NPDC on a well-defined urban transport improvement that prioritises safety, traffic efficiency, and access. The works will be carefully programmed to take advantage of the summer school holiday period, reducing impact on road users and nearby stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on planning and execution excellence. We are looking for respondents who can demonstrate proven capability in delivering high-quality civil works to required standards, within constrained timeframes and budget. Successful respondents will bring robust project management, strong stakeholder coordination, and a commitment to delivering outcomes that meet NPDC standards for quality, programme, and cost certainty. This is a fit for contractors who excel in coordinated delivery under tight time windows and who can confidently manage both construction execution and community impact. The supplier must demonstrate how they will:  Safely and efficiently deliver all civil works to meet NPDC and NZTA quality standards  Effectively plan and schedule works to maximise productivity within the limited delivery window  Coordinate resources and subcontractors to support multiple work fronts if required  Implement proactive communication and stakeholder engagement strategies  Manage risks, including traffic management, safety, and programme constraints The contractor must be an NZTA (Waka Kotahi) approved contractor and must maintain all required accreditations and compliance standards necessary to undertake works on or within the State Highway network Using the link below, please follow the instructions on the main screen of how to set up your organisation to access TenderLink (if you are not already registered). Before you bid on this tender

A quick checklist to help you decide whether to bid and prepare a compliant submission for this construction & infrastructure opportunity. Always verify the details on the official source.

  • Confirm the exact closing date and time (and time zone) on the official portal — deadlines are strict and can be revised by a corrigendum.
  • Read the full notice and every attached document, including the scope, specifications and any bill of quantities or terms of reference.
  • Check the eligibility criteria — prior similar experience, annual turnover, certifications and registrations — and make sure you qualify before investing effort.
  • Prepare any earnest-money deposit (EMD) or bid security and the required formats early; missing or wrongly-formatted documents are a common cause of rejection.
  • Note how bids must be submitted (online or physical), in what format, and whether a digital signature or portal registration is required.
  • Watch for corrigenda and clarifications right up to the deadline — requirements and dates can change.
