How they buy

Across the sports, recreation & events notices we currently hold for Portugal, the most common form is the open tender or invitation to bid, followed by invitation to bid. Each has its own rules — see RFP, RFQ and EOI compared and tendering procedures explained.

What qualifies you

Sports and recreation tenders mix construction (grounds, synthetic tracks, gymnasia, swimming pools) with event delivery and equipment supply. Construction packages follow ordinary civil-works rules, including specialist surfacing standards. Event contracts are usually short, date-critical and heavily penalised for delay, since the event cannot move. Where equipment is procured, watch for federation or governing-body approval requirements on specifications.

Before committing effort, it is worth running a deliberate bid/no-bid decision and checking your submission against the responsiveness checklist.
