Det skal utføres vedlikehold av varder og båker i Midt-Norge i løpet av 2026.Kystverket planlegger å vedlikeholde vardene i farleden. Vardene er bygd av murte stein og står på holmer; de er malt enten i svart eller i en kombinasjon av svart og hvitt, og enkelte har også et toppmerke laget av stål. Vardene er plassert på en øy, og entreprenøren må benytte båt for adkomst. Området det gjelder, strekker seg fra Brekstad i sør til Vikna i nord.. Vedlikeholdsarbeidet innebærer generelt spyling og maling av vardene. I tillegg må noen varder med skader i betongen repareres før de males.Arbeider består av malingsarbeid og noe bygningsmessige arbeider. Arbeidet med installasjonene skal prises pr installasjon i prisdokument - og honoreres for hvert utførte anlegg.
