The pesticides residue analysis and formulations sections of the Kfarshima laboratory of the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture play an instrumental role in analyzing samples of imported products, as well as products intended to export to the Gulf and European countries. These sections of the laboratory have been damaged during the previous years, and need minor rehabilitation works to ensure the proper and long term functioning of the equipment. The Ministry of Agriculture has included the equipping and rehabilitation of this facility in the list of its top priorities, during the early stages of the design of the GATE project. The goods requested through this RFB include: a. Procurement of laboratory equipment for the Kfarshima laboratories of the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA).

- Part 2 consists of laboratory gases and accessories (regulators), a Gas Chromatography (GC) system with Flame Ionization Detector (FID) and single quadrupole mass spectrometer (MS), and minor rehabilitation of the laboratory premises. The purpose of the minor rehabilitation works is to ensure the proper functioning of the procured items, in addition to the modification of the existing drainage system in a way to collect all discharge resulting from the analyses conducted in specific tanks for their proper disposal in an environmentally friendly manner, rather than discharging them into the sewage network, as it is being currently done.
