Den udbudte opgave er en del af projektet 11120 Udvidelse af Ring 4 Nord, som indgår i Infrastrukturplan 2035.

Projektet omfatter i hovedtræk anlæg af en ekstra vognbane i begge retninger på den ca. 5 km lange tosporede strækning mellem Ballerup Byvej og Hillerødmotorvejen. Derudover etableres en ekstra venstresvingsbane på Ballerup Byvej mod syd ad Ring 4, støjskærme på dele af strækningen, en ny vejadgang, en ny stiunderføring, ny rampeadgang til eksisterende stiunderføring, en ny signalreguleret fodgængerovergang og en signalteknisk optimering for lette trafikanter i krydset ved Åvej.

Den samlede projektbevilling er i størrelsesordenen 0,9 mia. kr., ekskl. moms. Nærværende udbud omfatter rådgivning i fase 3 (Projekt til besigtigelse), fase 4 (Projekt til anlæg) og fase 5 (Projektopfølning). Der henvises tiludbudsmaterialet for en nærmere beskrivelse.
