Fishing and aquaculture communities in Assam face several interconnected pressures. These include erratic weather patterns, inadequate infrastructure, poor post-harvest management and limited market access, all of which affect incomes and quality of life. SELCO Foundation’s approach places the end user at the centre of each intervention and works towards solutions that are technically sound, locally appropriate and economically viable. Eligibility Criteria Applicants should demonstrate: Experience in documentary script writing, narrative development and storyboard creation for development-sector films. Prior work documenting fisheries, climate-adaptive interventions, rural livelihoods or community-based programmes. Direct fisheries experience is preferred. An understanding of inland fisheries practices, value-chain stages and the challenges faced by fishing communities. The ability to interact sensitively with fishing communities, cooperatives, FPCs, SHGs and local authorities. Technical proficiency in photography, videography, sound recording, editing, subtitles, animation and voiceover integration. The capacity to manage field travel and production across multiple districts in Assam. Familiarity with rural communities in Assam. Proficiency in Assamese is an advantage. The ability to provide all required raw footage, editable project files and final production assets. The ability to complete the assignment within the proposed timeline. Compliance with applicable legal, ethical, labour, safeguarding and anti-bribery requirements.
