The new pipes will be installed by open cut trenching, allowing Timaru District Council to meet their specified levels of service, and the performance measures set out below: • Renewed pipeline service life of 100 years. • Minimise environmental impacts. • Protect the health and safety of the community by reducing wastewater overflows. • Maintain the reliability of the wastewater networks. • Comply with relevant statutes and regulations. • Reduce the number of private properties that the wastewater trunk mains are installed within.
