Details

Das bestehende Feuerwehrgebäude, der darin integrierte Werkhof (Unterhalts- und Forstbetrieb) und die an anderen Stellen gelegenen Hauptsammelstelle, Wasserversorgung und diverse Zivilschutzanlagen von Illnau-Effretikon erfüllen die heutigen Bedürfnisse nicht mehr. Diese verschiedenen städtischen Betriebe und deren benötigte Räume sollen deshalb auf dem für das gesamte Gemeindegebiet zentral gelegenen Grundstück im Gebiet Eselriet am Siedlungsrand von Effretikon zusammengelegt werden. Der neue Standort im Eselriet bietet die Möglichkeit, den bei den Abteilungen Sicherheit und Tiefbau erhobenen Bedarf vollumfänglich umzusetzen. Daher soll auf dem Grundstück eine neues Feuerwehr- und Werkgebäude für die Abteilungen Sicherheit (Feuerwehr, Rettungsdienst, Zivilschutz) sowie Tiefbau (Unterhaltsbetrieb, Forstbetrieb und Naturschutz, Entsorgung, Wasserversorgung) entstehen. Ziel ist die Realisierung einer nachhaltigen, zukunftsgerichteten sowie zweckmässigen Anlage, die Synergien schafft und die Bedürfnisse von Feuerwehr, Zivilschutz, Unterhaltsbetrieb, Forstbetrieb, Hauptsammelstelle sowie Wasserversorgung in sich vereint.
