Details

Sheffield City Council is inviting potential providers to take part in a Soft Market Test to help inform the future commissioning of supported accommodation and housing-related support services for young people under 25 who are at risk of homelessness, are homeless, or are rough sleeping. We are particularly interested in hearing from organisations with experience, capacity, or innovative ideas relating to supported housing, accommodation development, move-on options, and support models that help young people achieve positive outcomes in relation to safety, independence, education, training, employment, and sustainable housing. This exercise is not a formal tender or call for competition. However, responses will help the Council understand market capacity, test emerging proposals, explore potential delivery models, and shape any future procurement activity. Providers are encouraged to review the information provided and submit a response through the YORtender portal by Friday 11th September 2026. You are also invited to a Market Engagement Event for this Soft Market Test which will take place via Teams on Wednesday 26th August at 14:00. Before you bid on this tender

A quick checklist to help you decide whether to bid and prepare a compliant submission for this sports, recreation & events opportunity. Always verify the details on the official source.

  • Confirm the closing date and submission window on the official portal before you start preparing your bid.
  • Read the full notice and every attached document, including the scope, specifications and any bill of quantities or terms of reference.
  • Check the eligibility criteria — prior similar experience, annual turnover, certifications and registrations — and make sure you qualify before investing effort.
  • Prepare any earnest-money deposit (EMD) or bid security and the required formats early; missing or wrongly-formatted documents are a common cause of rejection.
