Details

The Government of the Republic of Uganda has received financing from the World Bank (the “Bank”) towards the cost of the Generating Growth Opportunities and Productivity for Women Enterprises (GROW) Project. It intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contracts for the acquisition of Agro-Processing Production/Value-Addition Equipment. The Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MGLSD) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Procurement of Supply and Installation of Agro- Processing Production/Value Addition Equipment for Rwentanga Farm Institute- Mbarara District as detailed below; Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) procurement method as specified in the World Bank Procurement Regulation for IPF Borrowers September, 2025, (Procurement Regulations) and is open to all eligible bidders. The Regulations can be accessed at https://thedocs . worldbank.org/en/doc/178331533065871195-0290022020/original/ ProcurementRegulations.pdf Bids will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation process set out in the bidding document. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the MGLSD and inspect the bidding documents from 08:00AM to 05:00PM during the week days at the address given below in 9(a). The Bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 9(a) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX: 100,000/= (Uganda Shillings One Hundred Thousand Only). The method of payment will be by Bank Advice Form (BAF) payable through any Bank. Bids must be delivered to the address below in 9(a) at or before 11:00AM on 26 th October 2026 Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 9(a) at 11:30AM. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount indicated in the schedule below;
