Supply and Delivery of LED Lights to MONUSCO Entebbe Support Base, Uganda

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

1. The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), seeks Expression of Interest (EOI) from duly registered companies for the Supply and Delivery of LED Lights to MONUSCO Entebbe Support Base, Uganda.

2. MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly for the establishment of a contract for an initial period of one (01) year, with an option to extend for two additional one-year period, i.e., (1+1+1), at the discretion of MONUSCO and accordingly intends to issue solicitation documents to those companies who would express their interest. The interested companies are requested to complete UN Vendor registration form, preferably for Level 1 in the vendor database accessible at www.ungm.org.

3. The EOI should specify brief relevant information about the company including the company's profile, capacity/capability and experience. Interested vendors must provide the following documents with their response. - Copy of the registration certificate/license (s) of the company.

4. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of bid/proposals.

5. MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of peformance in the subject field of activities and submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the (ITB) documents MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOI's received after the deadline indicated below.

6. Specific Requirements/Information The technical specifications of the LED lights are indicated below. The supplier shall provide to MONUSCO at the time of submitting his bid, the complete brochure of the proposed equipment with specifications:

1. All items shall operate continuously on a 230 V single phase, 50 Hz supply, tolerating voltage variation of plus or minus 10% and frequency variation of plus or minus 5%. Power factor shall be not less than 0.90 at full load, with surge protection of 4 kV line to earth, or 10 kV for street lights and floodlights. 2. All items shall be supplied complete with drivers, tubes or lamps, brackets, fixings and gaskets, requiring no additional parts to become operational. 3. All items shall comply with IEC 60598, IEC 61547, IEC 61000-3-2 Class C and IEC 62471, and shall be CE marked, RoHS compliant and mercury free.
