El presente tiene como objeto la contratación de los distintos servicios revisión, actualización e implementación del Plan Director de Innovación (PDI) de la isla de Tenerife, aprobado mediante Acuerdo de Consejo de Gobierno Insular del Excmo. Cabildo Insular de Tenerife en sesión ordinaria celebrada el día 16 de mayo de 2023 y número AC0000017675, y actualizado mediante Acuerdo de Consejo de Gobierno Insular en sesión celebrada el día 27 de noviembre de 2024 y número AC0000024540; cuya finalidad es la definición de la estrategia, los objetivos y las líneas de actuación que deben guiar las correspondientes políticas insulares en materia de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación (en adelante I+D+i), orientadas al impulso económico de la isla y al posicionamiento de Tenerife como un centro referente internacional en materia de I+D+i. Este PDI establece también las líneas generales, misión y objetivos a corto, medio y largo plazo, incluyendo cuáles son las actividades y acciones específicas a realizar por los organismos y agentes más representativos en el ámbito de la innovación de la isla de Tenerife, así como el modo en que se llevarán a cabo las mencionadas actividades y acciones, cuándo realizarlas y quién debe realizarlas.
