The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Maritime Administration (MARAD), Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet (SBRF), located in Benicia, California, has a requirement for the replacement and installation of a Load Moment Indicator (LMI) system on an Appleton Marine crane installed aboard the self-propelled crane barge MARY ANN (FS-65) as outlined in the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW). The Government is seeking a turnkey solution for a vendor to provide the following services:

  • Removal and disposal of the existing LMI system
  • Procurement and installation of the new LMI system
  • Operational testing and OSHA certification of the crane

Refer to Sections 10 and 11 of the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for submittal instructions and evaluation criteria. RFQ Amendment 1: The purpose of this amendment is to provide Point of Contacts (POCs) for the crane manufacturer (Appleton Marine). Refer to Questions and Answers (Q&As). RFQ Amendment 2: The purpose of this amendment is to post the second set of Q&As and the most recent crane certification and extend the quotation due date to September 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM (PT).
