About the Programme
Bajaj Foundation, in collaboration with UNICEF YuWaah, is implementing the Service-Based Learning (SBL) Pilot Programme 2026 - a multi-state, school-based initiative designed to strengthen 21st-century skills among students through structured, experiential and community-linked learning. Under SBL, students identify a real-world or community challenge, plan and implement a solution, and reflect on what they learned - following an Anticipate → Act → Reflect (AAR) cycle that builds skills through practical action rather than one-off awareness activities. Each project runs approximately 8–10 hours per grade, delivered through structured sessions during school hours, and covers themes such as environmental sustainability, digital literacy, community water stewardship and social responsibility. Along the way, students build communication, critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, decision-making, empathy, resilience, self-awareness and initiative.
