Details

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is inviting not-for-profit institutions to submit proposals to become implementing partners for a project aimed at establishing or strengthening School Management Committees (SMCs) in Myanmar. The initiative focuses on creating safe, inclusive, and resilient learning environments through sustainable, participatory management practices. The deadline for submissions is 19 November 2026, 16:00 Yangon Time. This call for proposals aims to enhance the capacity of School Management Committees in Myanmar by promoting safe, inclusive, and resilient learning spaces. The project seeks to embed sustainable and participatory management practices at the local school level, thereby contributing to the overall improvement of educational environments in the region. Selected partners will enter into an Implementing Partners’ Agreement with UNESCO. This partnership will provide the support necessary to develop and strengthen the capacity of SMCs, facilitating a collaborative approach to managing educational institutions effectively. Eligible applicants are not-for-profit institutions capable of partnering with UNESCO to implement the project objectives. The initiative is focused on institutions operating within Myanmar. This initiative is crucial for fostering educational environments that are inclusive, safe, and adaptable to challenges. By enhancing the management capabilities of SMCs, the project aims to improve the quality of education and promote resilience in schools across Myanmar. Eligible organizations are encouraged to review the official guidelines and submit their proposals by the deadline. For detailed information and application instructions, contact UNESCO at procurement.bgk@unesco.org.
