Details

1. The material shall be in accordance with the Department of Transport and Main Roads Specifications (MRTS02, MRTS12, MRTS21, MRTS30).

2. The material shall also meet the testing requirements outlined by the Department of Transport and Main Roads Specifications (Materials/Mix Design - 1/source/year, Maximum Density of Asphalt Q307 - 200t/source/year-4/source/year, Bitumen Content and Aggregate Grading of Asphalt Q308A or Q308C - 200t/source/year-4/source/year.

3. The testing requirements listed for all the materials above shall apply to the cumulative quantities used throughout the contract and not to specific Work Order quantities. Where the Work Order quantity does not reach the required testing frequency, the quantity shall be aggregated with other Work Order quantities from that specific supply source until such time as a test is required. Work Order quantities may be recorded on a material testing register and testing initiated once the cumulative total for a specific supply source reaches the specified figure.

4. Asphalt cold mix must be delivered in bulk via truck; no other forms of delivery of packaging will be accepted.

5. Allow for delivery allow for delivery to multiple locations within the Blackall-Tambo regional councils sealed road network on request throughout FY2026-2027, upon request. BTRC Works Supervisor to confirm the delivery date in advance of works.

6. Quoted rates are to include allowances for any assumed extra costs for the works.

7. The lowest or any quotation may not necessarily be accepted

8. The quotation price is fixed, and no increase will be sought or imposed on Blackall-Tambo Regional Council, except as a variation approved by Council as outlined in notes on the tender document.
