Bakgrunn og formål
Vingelen kirke har et pipeorgel fra 1963 levert av Norsk orgel- og harmoniumfabrikk. Instrumentet har behov for omfattende teknisk og klanglig rehabilitering for å sikre videre drift og funksjonalitet i mange år fremover. Samtidig ønsker oppdragsgiver å videreutvikle orgelet ved å tilføre nye stemmer og styrke instrumentets musikalske og liturgiske bruksverdi.
Anskaffelsens formål er å rehabilitere eksisterende orgel, restaurere nødvendige tekniske komponenter, utbedre slitasje og lekkasjer, samt utvide instrumentet innenfor de rammer som er fastsatt for prosjektet. Det er et mål å bevare og videreføre orgelets eksisterende klanglige karakter, samtidig som instrumentets allsidighet og kvalitet styrkes gjennom nye orgeltekniske løsninger og eventuelt gjenbruk av historiske elementer fra det tidligere Landrog-orgelet.
