Kristiansand kommune skal utføre fasaderenovering av Valhalla helsesenter. Tilstandsanalyse viser at fasaden har omfattende fuktskader og manglende lufting. Det skal utføres total rehabilitering av fasade, vinduer og dører, samt solavskjerming.Det er utført tilstandsanalyse av fasadekonstruksjonen, tilstandsbetegnelsen er satt til TG 3 – stort eller alvorlig avvik.Valhalla helsesenter er oppført i 1998. Bygget fungerer i dag som et helsesenter med følgende funksjoner:Valhalla helsesenter gir døgnbehandling med opphold av kortere varighet. Det er ingen faste sykehjemsplasser her.Helsesenteret tilbyr korttidsplasser, rehabilitering og Øyeblikkelig hjelp-døgnopphold (ØHD).Helsesenteret har totalt 78 plasser. 14 senger for rehabilitering, 56 senger for korttid og 8 senger ved ØHD. Det er tverrfaglig samarbeid mellom sykepleiere, fagarbeidere, leger, fysioterapeuter og ergoterapeuter. Helsesenteret har eget renholdspersonell.  I husets 1. etasje i tilknytning til ØHD-avdelingen, holder kommunalt responssenter (24-timers drift), legevaktsentral og kommunens ambulerende blodprøvetakingstjeneste til.  Bygget vil være i full drift under hele byggeprosessen, noe som krever god prosjektledelse for å minimere forstyrrelser. Se vedlegg 24 - Informasjon om konsekvenser for drift, og 24.1 - Fase inndeling, hvor oppdragsgiver forsøker å gi et bilde av problemstillinger det må tas hensyn til i planleggingen.
