The DSBF is critical to restore essential operational infrastructure for RNZN’s small-boat capability. The project will provide a modern, secure, and fit-for-purpose facility that supports Royal New Zealand Navy small boat operations, including: • Enclosed storage for 28 small boats. • Equipment and operational storage facilities. • Compliant washdown facilities. • Operational maintenance workshop facilities. • Administration, briefing, training, and amenity spaces. • Defence-compliant security and access control systems. • Launch and recovery infrastructure. • Replacement of the existing seawall and associated shoreline protection works.
