The African Union Development Agency-NEPAD (AUDA-NEPAD) has received financing in the amount of US$ 7, 300, 000.00 equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Africa Resilient Irrigation for Sustainable Economies (AFRICA-RISE) project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.

The project includes the following Procurements:

Goods and Non-Consulting Services:

Procurement of Non-consultancy Services for the production of Knowledge and communication products such as toolkits, guidelines, videos etc – ICB Supply and Delivery of Office equipment and related accessories - RFQ Procurement of Non-consultancy services for Branding and printing materials for RISE - RFQ Procurement of Software license for PIU (NCS) - RFQ

Consulting Services:

Component 1: Regional Framework for Coordinated Policy Action, Harmonization, Benchmarking, and Country Exchange

Consultancies to be procured under this component include: Framework Contract for selection of Africa RISE Regional Applied Research & Knowledge Services – QCBS Selection of consultancy services for Africa RISE Gateway: Website, Dashboard & Digital Infrastructure – QCBS Selection of Consultancy Services for Regional Data Production & Geospatial Analytics - QCBS

Component 2: National and Regional Scaling Support

Consultancy Services to be procured under this component are:

Selection of consultancy Services for Regional Policy, Standards & Benchmarking Support X 19 countries – QCBS Employment of Project Financial Management Officer – IC Employment of Project Procurement Specialist – IC Employment of Project Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Reporting Specialist – IC Employment of Project Communications Specialist – IC Employment of Project Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination Specialist – IC Employment of Project E&S Specialist – IC Selection of Audit Firm – Framework Contract

Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (February 2025) (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations.[1] After project negotiations, the World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection.

Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, in AUDA-NEPAD website, Devbusiness, SA-Tenders website , and on the World Bank’s external website.
