| About | MAG PNG is seeking suppliers for the provision of 282 radios to PNG Correctional Services. MAG reserves the right to change the final number of items during the negotiation process depending on the total value of the bids received. Inrico IRC380 radios are required because PNGCS is already operating the previous Inrico 4G push-to-talk sets. These are not standalone radios. They sit on the same network platform, use the same operating interface, and work with the programming, talk-groups and accessories already in service. Moving to a generic set with similar paper specifications would break that continuity. Officers would need fresh training, existing radios could not be mixed on the same groups during rollout, and spares, chargers and support would no longer match the fleet already issued. Specifying the IRC380 keeps the replacement inside the system staff already know, limits the training burden to a short familiarisation, and avoids running two incompatible radio environments in the same facilities. The bidders are asked to quote and provide details as mentioned in Annex 2 – Technical Proposal & Compliance Statement of Specification and Terms, mentioning all the required details and providing necessary supporting documents. |
| Eligibility requirements | Minimum standards to be met by the offers for proceeding to Administrative, Technical & Financial Evaluation: 2. The Item Quoted meets MAG minimum standards for this tender, as listed in Annex 2 supported by the necessary supporting documents. 4. Supplier offers warranty and after-sales service on the purchased Items. Suppliers not meeting the above requirements will be excluded from this tender. |

Before you bid on this tender
A quick checklist to help you decide whether to bid and prepare a compliant submission. Always verify the details on the official source.
- Confirm the exact closing date and time (and time zone) on the official portal — deadlines are strict and can be revised by a corrigendum.
- Read the full notice and every attached document, including the scope, specifications and any bill of quantities or terms of reference.
- Check the eligibility criteria — prior similar experience, annual turnover, certifications and registrations — and make sure you qualify before investing effort.
- Prepare any earnest-money deposit (EMD) or bid security and the required formats early; missing or wrongly-formatted documents are a common cause of rejection.
- Note how bids must be submitted (online or physical), in what format, and whether a digital signature or portal registration is required.
- Watch for corrigenda and clarifications right up to the deadline — requirements and dates can change.
