Gjøvik kommune skal etablere en fullverdig reservevannsløsning som skal styrke forsyningssikkerheten for Biri og Gjøvik. Som en del av prosjektet skal det etableres et nytt vannbehandlingsanlegg på Biri.

Anskaffelsen gjelder prosjektering og oppføring av vannbehandlingsanlegget. Kontrakten gjennomføres som en totalentreprise etter NS 8407 og omfatter blant annet etablering av byggegrop med spunt og fundamentering, prosesskjeller og vanntette bassenger, prosesshall, tekniske rom, administrasjonsarealer, tekniske installasjoner innen VVS og elektro samt tilhørende utomhusarbeider.

Entreprisen har grensesnitt mot øvrige entrepriser for maskin- og prosessutstyr, automasjon, råvannspumpestasjon og ledningsanlegg. Entreprisene for maskin- og prosessutstyr og automasjon kan bli tiltransportert totalentreprenøren.
