- Be registered and in good standing as a non-profit society or community service co-op in British Columbia. - Have been registered for at least one fiscal year before applying. - Have the majority of key staff and board members based in British Columbia. - Maintain creative control and decision-making for programming and community engagement primarily within the organization. - Have programming and engagement leadership primarily based in British Columbia. - Have a purpose or mandate dedicated to arts and culture programming and activities, or to providing services to the arts and culture sector in British Columbia. - Ensure their operations and activities reflect this dedicated arts and culture purpose or mandate. British Columbia Leadership Requirement A significant part of the organization’s leadership and decision-making must be based in British Columbia. The majority of key staff and board members must be located in B.C., while creative control and decisions relating to programming and community engagement must primarily remain within the organization and its B.C.-based leadership. This requirement helps ensure that funded activities are developed and delivered through organizations with a strong connection to the province’s arts and cultural sector. Organizational Purpose and Mandate Applicants must demonstrate that their organization has a dedicated arts and culture purpose.
