The Water and Power Development Authority through Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received financing from the World Bank jointly with Wapda towards the cost of the T5 Hydropower Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for “Procurement of Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Equipment for Up-gradation of 16 Existing Weather Stations of GMRC in Upper Indus Basin’’ under Dam Safety Component of Approved PC-I of T5 HPP. The General Manager (HRM), WAPDA now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders having valid registration with Pakistan Engineering Council in C6 Category or above with specialization field of EE-04 (Telecommunication)/EE-06 (Instrumentation & Control/Electronics, registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments and who are on Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue, for the NCB NO. PK-AF-TARBELA 4TH-571307-GO-RFB, for procurement of “Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Equipment for Up-Gradation of 16 Existing Weather Stations of GMRC in Upper Indus Basin” The contract shall be completed in 365 days. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011, Revised July 2014) and is open to all eligible bidders/vendors/manufacturers etc as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the O/o GM (HRM), WAPDA House, Lahore and inspect the bidding documents during office hours (0900 to 1600 hours) at the address given below (Serial-8) A complete set of bidding documents in English may be obtained/collected by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2500/-. The method of payment will be Cash Deposit/Pay Order/Demand Draft in favor of General Manager (HRM), WAPDA House, Lahore. Bidding documents can also be downloaded from (www.wapda.gov.pk.com) free of cost. Sealed Bids must be delivered to the address below (Serial-8) on or before 21st October 2026 up to 1100 hours. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidder’s designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below (Serial- 8) on 21st October, 2026 at 1130 hours.
