Voor het inkooptraject voor de levering van "laboratoria chemicaliën" heeft het UMC gekozen voor een Open House constructie. Dit houdt in dat er geen sprake is van een aanbesteding, maar van een aanmeldingsprocedure. Hierop is de aanbestedingswet dus niet van toepassing.
