Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project

The Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project offers international students the opportunity to pursue tuition-free education in Russia. Organized by the Global Universities Association, this initiative allows participants to study at one of 24 prestigious Russian universities across a variety of disciplines. The registration for the 2026 cycle starts on 20 August 2026, with various stages concluding in February 2027. The Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project is designed to attract talented students worldwide to study in Russia, offering them a chance to enroll in tuition-free degree programs. The project supports a variety of fields, including biotechnology, medicine, artificial intelligence, engineering, and political science. The scholarship covers the full tuition cost for the selected program in Russia. Participants must cover their travel, accommodation, insurance, and personal expenses. International students from any country can apply for the scholarship. Participants must select a subject area and create a portfolio including their achievements, a motivation letter, and an entry test. The Open Doors project enables students to access high-quality education in Russia, recognized worldwide, particularly in Asia, Africa, and BRICS countries. It caters to aspiring professionals aiming to advance their knowledge and careers in diverse and critical fields. Can I participate in multiple subject areas? Yes, but a motivation letter is required for each. Be mindful of the schedule for each area. What costs are not covered by the scholarship? Travel, accommodation, insurance, and personal expenses must be self-funded. What should I do if I encounter issues with my application? Contact support through the feedback form on the Open Doors website, including screenshots or recordings of the issue. Can I change my selected subject area after submitting my portfolio? No changes are allowed post-deadline, so make your initial selection carefully. What happens if I win in more than one subject area? You must choose only one subject area and degree program. If you are an eligible international student, review the official guidelines on the Open Doors website and begin your application process. Ensure all materials are prepared and submitted by the specified deadlines to maximize your chances of success. For more information, visit Open Doors.
