What Is the Farmer Register Outreach Grant Programme? The Farmer Register Outreach Grant Programme is part of a broader agricultural development initiative in the Republic of Moldova implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with funding from the European Union, in cooperation with Moldova’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture. The programme supports the inclusive implementation of the digital National Farmers Register (dNFR) by working through local organizations that can reach farmers directly. The selected organizations will help farmers understand and complete the registration process while improving their ability to access digital agricultural services. What Does the Grant Support? The programme focuses on practical outreach and digital inclusion activities that help farmers use the digital National Farmers Register.

Supported activities may include:

Raising awareness about the dNFR and farmer registration requirements. Providing farmers with registration guidance and advisory services. Supporting farmers with technical assistance during digital registration. Helping farmers understand their obligations related to the register. Eligible applicants are organizations registered and operating in the Republic of Moldova that can demonstrate relevant experience and the capacity to conduct farmer outreach.

Eligible organizations include:

Agricultural producer associations. Agricultural chambers. Local Action Groups (LAGs). Local non-governmental and non-profit organizations. Applicants must have at least two years of relevant experience.

Organizations must also demonstrate:

Adequate operational and organizational capacity. A clear plan for geographic coverage within Moldova. The ability to conduct outreach and advisory activities. Compliance with UNDP requirements. Compliance with applicable Moldovan laws and requirements. Successful completion of previous UNDP grant agreements, where applicable. Each organization may submit only one application. Applicants must also ensure that they do not have overlapping or conflicting UNDP funding arrangements that would affect their eligibility. Grant Amount and Duration The programme will select six beneficiaries. Each selected organization may receive a grant of up to US$15,000. The grant will be transferred in Moldovan Lei (MDL) using the UN Operational Rate of Exchange applicable on the date the Grant Agreement is signed. The maximum overall grant period is 11 months, structured as:

8 months: Implementation of outreach and technical assistance activities.

3 months: Reporting and grant closure.

Step 1: Confirm Eligibility

Verify that the organization:

Is legally registered and operating in Moldova. Falls within one of the eligible applicant categories. Has at least two years of relevant experience. Has sufficient operational capacity. Has no conflicting UNDP funding. Has complied with previous UNDP grant requirements, if applicable.
