Description of the Assignment:
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
1. Assist in leveraging communications channels to advertise NRM, CC & DRR unit’s activities and events (At least three activities/events) 2. Develop various communication materials to raise awareness on biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and resilience.
3. Support multimedia communication initiative of the NRM, CC & DRR unit
4. In line with the NRM, CC & DRR units work provide oversight and support as needed for project specific communications related requirements.
Task 1: Support communications planning and campaign delivery for the CFB and FARM projects (at least two campaigns):
a) Campaign development: Develop and execute three communication campaigns aligned with CFB and FARM project milestones and/or events, including social media packages, visibility products, and outreach plans. b) Content creation: Develop communication products including press releases, blog/articles, social media captions, and relevant graphic designs in support of the campaigns.
c) Quality assurance: Ensure all design work aligns with UNDP and donor (GEF and others) branding guidelines.
d) Coordination: Communicate with project teams and stakeholders, including media, to ensure effective reach and donor visibility.
e) Report: Monitor and provide analytics on campaign performance across communication channels.
Deliverable 1: 2 reports on CFB and FARM campaign performance by tracking social media engagement and other communication channels, including lessons learned.
Task 2: Produce a human-interest story marking the conclusion of the IWRM project:
a) Content development: Research, draft, and produce one human-interest story (written and/or video format) capturing community-level impact and results from the IWRM project.
b) Visual and audio support: Conduct or coordinate photography and/or videography as required for the story.
c) Quality assurance: Ensure the final product aligns with UNDP branding guidelines and storytelling standards.
d) Dissemination support: Support packaging of the story for website, social media, and other relevant platforms.
Deliverable 2: 1 human story developed covering IWRM impacts on the ground.
Task 3: Support and coordinate communication activities for international days (DRR Day and World Food Day):
a) Campaign development: Support the development of communication campaigns and materials for the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction and World Food Day, aligned with official UN/global themes and localized to the Lao PDR context.
b) Coordination: Communicate with stakeholders, including media and partner agencies, to ensure effective and engaging visibility for both observances.
c) Report: Monitor and report on communication activities by tracking social media engagement and other communication channels for both events.
Deliverable 3: 1 Monitor and report on communication activities for the international days (DRR day and World Food Day) by tracking and analyzing social media engagement and other communication channels, including lessons learned.
