53102500 - Clothing accessories 53102700 - Uniforms DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS The United Nations (UN) intends to establish a global systems contract for the supply of UN Blue Berets in support of the accoutrement needs of UN peacekeeping personnel across all missions, for an initial period of three (3) years with the UN's sole option to extend for two (2) additional one-year periods (3+1+1), subject to satisfactory contractor performance. UN Blue Berets are primarily intended to be worn on the national uniforms of military, police, and other uniformed personnel who are deployed from UN Troop and Police Contributing Countries to serve at UN peacekeeping and special political missions worldwide. The items form part of the official UN uniform accoutrement kit, which are issued to all contributed personnel. Global UN duty stations where uniformed personnel may be deployed include UN Headquarters in New York (UNHQ), the UN Global Service Center (UNGSC) in Brindisi, as well as Global Peacekeeping Operations and Special Political Missions

(https: //www.unmissions.org). The UN Blue Berets are governed by the UN Organization Rules and

Regulations as it relates to the use and production of products connected to the UN branding. Bidders are to be advised that UN blue berets are controlled items, and private sale or distribution of any production surplus are strictly prohibited. The sale of these products will only be allowed to UN entities with legitimate purchase orders. Detailed specifications and other contractual terms and conditions shall be outlined in the upcoming Invitation to Bid (ITB). Purchase orders will be issued periodically on an as-needed basis by UNGSC to replenish centralized stock, or as required by the relevant UN Secretariat entities. Delivery terms shall be FCA (Incoterms 2020; Bidder to specify Port of Exit for air and sea), within 60 calendar days from receipt of purchase order.
