Details

1. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) requires the service of Long-Term Agreement (LTA) of a qualified and experienced Contractor for Water Supply to UNIFIL Positions 2-45, 6-50, 6-52, 5-20 and 5-22 in South Lebanon. 2. UNIFIL requires the provision of bulk non-potable (raw ground) water to UNIFIL Positions 2-45, 6-50, 6-52, 5-20 and 5-22, around At Tiri, for general-purpose use, including laundry, showers and toilets, to support the daily sustainment of UNIFIL military personnel. The water shall be supplied from a reliable non-potable (raw ground) water source and/or deep well in proximity to the UNIFIL positions, allowing delivery by trucks while considering security and health aspects. The requirement shall be established under a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) for the daily and weekly supply of water by contractor(s), as follows:

  • Position 2-45: 55 m³ daily, up to 10 days per month (550 m³/month; 6,600 m³/year), delivered by contractor trucks without escort.
  • Positions 6-50 and 6-52: 20 m³ weekly per position (160 m³/month; 1,920 m³/year), with collection by Irish trucks at the location of the well.
  • Positions 5-20 and 5-22: 55 m³ and 10 m³ weekly respectively (260 m³/month; 3,120 m³/year), delivered by contractor trucks without escort.

3. UNIFIL intends to enter into this Long-Term Agreement for an initial period of one (1) year from date of its signature with the option to extend for another one (1) year period (1) at the discretion of UNIFIL, subject to the extension of UNIFIL’s mandate and satisfactory performance by the Contractor. The maximum contract period shall be two (2) years. The fixed unit prices, agreed upon in the resulting contract, are to remain unchanged for the entire duration of the contract.
