È un'area strategica, destinata oggi a parcheggio a raso e city terminal del trasporto pubblico su gomma.• Obiettivo strategico: potenziamento delle funzionalità del City Terminal mediante l’implementazione di servizi a supporto della mobilità sostenibile e del trasporto intermodale.• Obiettivo specifico: realizzazione di un hub di connessione destinato a costituire il terminal di raccordo con i principali poli di trasporto a livello nazionale (aeroporto, stazione e porto), al fine di dotare Lecce di un polo di interscambio e di una velostazione nel punto di accesso alla Città, consentendo lo snodo del traffico veicolare pubblico e privato verso la costa e verso l’area Sud del Salento.
