This RFP is an invitation from The Corporation of the City of Thunder Bay (the “ City ”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the year-round operation of the City’s Household Hazardous Waste Depot (the “ Depot ”) located at the City’s Solid Waste Recycling Facility (the “ SWRF ”). The required services include provision of customer service to residents, receipt, classification, sorting, bulking, processing, packing, management of on-site storage, preparation for shipment, loading, transportation to, diversion and/or disposal of all collected hazardous and Special Waste through licensed and City approved facilities, Depot maintenance, as further described in Appendix D - RFP Particulars and provision of a residential paint and chemical reuse service. Participation in, and diversion of Acceptable and Special Waste, through available Producer Responsibility Programs approved by the City will also be the Contractor’s responsibility.
