Details

Doel van het Water- en Klimaatadaptatieplan 2022-2026 is dat Enschede gesteld staat in 2050 voor een bui van 70 mm in één uur.

De gemeente beoogt de maatregelen uiterlijk op 31 december 2033 te realiseren, vooralsnog conform bijlage 1: Verbeteren van de hoofdafvoerstructuur; Het realiseren van extra waterberging; Integraal combineren van gemeentelijke ambities, waaronder groen, warmtenet, verkeer en parkeren. De wijze waarop de structurele verbetering van de waterhuishouding concreet wordt getoetst, evenals de nadere ontwerpuitgangspunten en het ontwerpproces, wordt binnen de opdracht nader vormgegeven.

Het eindresultaat is een integraal, uitvoerbaar en ruimtelijk inpasbaar ontwerp dat: De wateropgave aantoonbaar verbetert, zowel voor afvoer als berging; Tot stand komt op basis van expliciete afwegingen tussen functies, zoals water, groen, verkeer, parkeren en warmtenet; Leidt tot een gedragen en bestuurlijk verdedigbare oplossingsrichting voor de komende jaren.
