Details

Cambridge City Council has undertaken a Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) this has identified the need to place bike stores in communal locations. This is to free up walkways from bikes to enable quick evacuation from buildings in the case of a fire. There is also a risk from trip and falls adjacent walkway due to the bikes protruding onto walkways/stairs. This contract is for fabrication and installation of bike stores. This has been an evolution of design and there has been a positive response to new prototype bike stores with green roofs. It is hoped that this learning and feedback process will see an evolution of better designs for our customers. Installation of the new stores will be within the City of Cambridge which is split into North and South areas it is not envisaged that there will be a greater radius than 5 miles for this project.
