The project concerns the construction of pumping station facilities for the interconnection of Kozani district heating with the new and under construction thermal energy production facilities within the Kardia Thermal Power Plant site through the new thermal energy transfer system under construction, consisting of pipes of nominal diameter DN700mm DN600mm DN450mm with hot/superheated water as the carrier. In detail, it concerns the construction of the following distinct facilities: Installations (pump stations and other equipment) for interconnection in a field granted to DEYAK within the Kardia Thermal Power Plant/PPC referred to as "KARDIAS PUMP STATION". The facilities to be implemented with the project include the following main equipment and works: Hot water circulation pumping station for the transport system. Hot water circulation pump station of the production system Heat exchangers for the hydraulic separation of the existing district heating transport systems DEYAK and production. Other auxiliary equipment (pressure regulation and expansion valve reception, water treatment and replenishment, filtration, addition of chemical additives, safety devices, energy meters, etc.) Connection of the new facilities with the existing or new facilities to be implemented (transport pipeline, production facilities) (water supply, sewage, strong and weak currents and others). Automation control and remote management system for the remote monitoring of the Kardias Pumping Station. The system will fully cooperate with the existing control/remote management system of the district heating facilities control center and will essentially be an extension of it. Installations-renovation works at the existing district heating pumping station in the Kasla area of Kozani (replacement of pumping units of pumping station A2 and other equipment, so that the pumping station meets the requirements of the new transmission system as well as modifications to the routing of the transmission pipelines within the pumping station site), hereinafter referred to as "KASLA PUMP STATION". The works mainly concern Replacement of the main pumping units of pumping station A2 with their accompanying works Replacement of existing transformers with new ones to cover the increased electrical power requirements due to the new equipment. Replacement of existing speed regulators of pumping units of pumping station A1. Modification of the routing of the pre-insulated pipelines of the transmission system within the district heating installation site. Redesign of the existing operational control automation system of the main pumping stations. Upgrading of the supply lines of strong and weak currents of the new pumping complexes. Control automation and remote management system for the remote monitoring of the Kardia Pumping Station (see above-Kardia Pumping Station) as well as the Drepano valve station. The system will fully cooperate with the existing control/remote management system of the district heating installation control center and will essentially be an extension of it. With the implementation of the installations, the nominal transmission capacity of the system will be 195MWth.
