Die Gemeinde Hünxe beabsichtigt die Erweiterung des Schulzentrums Hünxe, In den Elsen 34, 46569 Hünxe, bestehend aus der Karl-Vogels-Schule (KVS), einer Grundschule mit offenem Ganztagsangebot, sowie der Gesamtschule Hünxe (GSH). Geplant ist ein zweigeschossiges Gebäude, das sich aus zwei Baukörpern zusammensetzt: einem kompakten Riegel als Hauptkörper und einem auskragenden Gebäudeteil sowie einem Außentreppenhaus. Das Gebäude ist teilunterkellert und wird in Massivbauweise errichtet. Die Dächer werden als Gründächer ausgeführt. Auf der obersten Dachfläche wird eine Photovoltaik-Anlage installiert.
