Die Stadthallen GmbH Gießen plant die bauliche und technische Modernisierung sowie die funktionale Neustrukturierung verschiedener Bereiche der Kongresshalle Gießen. Neben abgeschlossenen Maßnahmen wie der Reorganisation der Anlieferungszone und des Innenhofs, sowie dem Umbau der Pächterwohnung zu Verwaltungsbüros sind weitere Bauabschnitte und Maßnahmen in Planung oder wurden bereits begonnen und sind fortzusetzen. Dazu gehören unter anderem die Gestaltung und Einrichtung aller Veranstaltungsräume, der Ausbau sowie technische Verbesserungen an Infrastruktur und Gebäudetechnik und die Optimierung von Eingangs- und Verwaltungsbereichen. Der Vorplatz der Kongresshalle wird nach der Erweiterung des Unteren Foyers wiederhergestellt. In diesem Zuge wird auch eine Gedenkstätte für die ehemalige Synagoge umgesetzt. Die Kongresshalle ist als Kulturdenkmal auf Grund ihrer geschichtlichen, städtebaulichen und künstlerischen Aspekte geschützt. Aus diesem Grund ist das Denkmalschutzamt in die Planung mit einzubeziehen. Gegenstand dieser Ausschreibung sind landschaftsgärtnerische Arbeiten.
