Erbaut wurde die Schule in den Jahren 1928 - 1930. Im Schuljahr 2025/2026 wurden an der staatlichen Oberschule 519 SchülerInnen der Klassenstufen 5 bis 10 in 22 Klassen unterrichtet. Die Stadt Chemnitz plant die Innen- und Außensanierung des denkmalgeschützten Schulgebäudes in der Kreherstraße 101 in 09127 Chemnitz. Gegenstand dieser Ausschreibung sind die Leistungen der Objektplanung Gebäude der Leistungsphasen 1 bis 9 nach § 34 HOAI i. V. m. Anlage 10 Nr. 10.1. Mitwirken bei der Fördermittelbeantragung, -abrechnung und Erstellung des Verwendungsnachweises beauftragt.
