Die Turnhalle in Neukirchen wurde im Jahr 1970 errichtet und seitdem nur in Teilbereichen instandgesetzt. Vor dem Hintergrund des Alters der Anlage, der erkennbaren baulichen Schäden sowie der heutigen Anforderungen an Schul- und Vereinssport wird eine umfassende Sanierung und funktionale Neuordnung des Bestandsgebäudes angestrebt. Im Ergebnis wurden hieraus folgende Bedarfe festgelegt: >> die Instandsetzung der konstruktiven Bauteile (Mauerwerk, Stahlbetonstützen, Binderauflager, Dachabdichtung), >> der Rückbau und Neubau der Innenräume im Hallenbereich und in den Nebenräumen ? die Umstrukturierung der Umkleide- und Sanitärbereiche im südlichen Anbau, >> die bauliche Erweiterung im nördlichen Bereich zur Aufnahme eines größeren Geräteraums und ggf. Technikflächen >> die Erneuerung der technischen Gebäudeausrüstung (Heizung, Lüftung, Sanitär, Elektro, Beleuchtung), >> die energetischen Maßnahmen an Gebäudehülle und technischen Anlagen >> die Ausstattung des Halleninnenraums (Sportboden, Prallwände, sporttechnische Einrichtungen)
