The United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD) invites qualified and experienced firms to submit proposals for the design, fabrication, and delivery of ten (10) LED retrofit modules intended for existing Metal Halide and Tungsten Halogen downlight and directional fixtures installed in the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations Headquarters (UNHQ), located at 405 East 42nd Street, New York, NY. The project encompasses the development and manufacture of prototype retrofit modules, including all necessary engineering and testing, as well as the subsequent production of approved units in accordance with the United Nations' design, performance, and installation requirements. The retrofit solution must maintain the aesthetic and lighting characteristics of the existing fixtures while improving energy efficiency, reliability, and maintainability. The retrofit modules must be installed into box housing with top relamp lid.Duration: The prototype LED retrofit modules shall be designed, manufactured, delivered, and submitted for review and approval no later than November 2026. Subject to successful prototype evaluation and approval by the United Nations, full-scale production is anticipated to commence in January 2027 and continue through June 2027, following a phased implementation.

The UN reserves the right to issue the final solicitation documents only to those prospective Vendors that respond to the EOI, and are deemed qualified upon meeting the specific requirements mentioned in the below section.
Specific Requirements/Information Interested vendors are requested to refer to the Pre-qualification criteria attached as Annex 1 to this EOI.
The vendors must submit their responses and the proof of compliance relating to all the pre-qualification criteria and send them preferably as a one file via email addresses provided above.
The UN will evaluate the responses and all vendors submitting their applications and meeting the prequalification criteria shall be invited to tender.
UN Procurement Division (UNPD) reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a response to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. The solicitation package and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with UN rules and regulations.
